"Drowned Versatility" is the fourth painting of my series "Leugnung" (denial), a series that addresses the human dilemma of having to hide emotions, desires and urges to fit into our restricting society. This one in particular speaks about the elimination of a wider spectrum of hobbies and abilities. Though making our lives richer and more versatile, they also take away our focus on the "important" skill in our live. Thus we often end up completely ignoring those secondary skills, a sacrifice which may lead to more success in our chosen career but also quickly can make our life a dreary one.
