Starved Curiosity I

"Starved Curiosity I" is the first of a series of paintings with the title "Leugnung" (denial). A private body of work which explores all the emotions, desires and fears that humankind tries to hide away in order to comply with societal norms. "Starved Curiosity I" in particular has the idea behind it that curiosity often gets suppressed for the sake of a more stable and linear life, resulting in "starvation" of your own desire for more, which can lead to monotony and boredom. It's one of two with the same meaning and the same name.
