Fear devours

The first value study of one of many soon to be oil paintings for a private project named "Blackout".
A voyage into the deep depths of the human mind and his struggle with strong emotions (anger, fear, sadness) and the feeling of helplessness when consumed by it.

That's the first time since at least 3 years that I did something with more consistency. Something from me, for me, from the bottom of my heart. It is so hard for me to call something finished but I just did today. I'm not completely satisfied, but when are we ever?
Charcoal, conté and a bit of gouache on paper.

Lots of smudging, scraping, erasing and doubting. And lots of love.
